About Shepherds Field
We are Dave and Megan and we run Shepherds Field, a small farm that is producing high-quality nutrient rich and "clean" food and selling directly to homes in nearby cities and towns. We are committed to regenerative and ethical farming practices inspired by experts like Allan Savory, Joel Salatin, Charles Dowding and more. Our animals are raised naturally, outdoors and without vaccines or medications. We feed only certified non-GMO Feeds. With a deep commitment to ethics throughout their lives when harvest time comes our animals experience what is probably their only sad day. Our farm is slowly becoming a showcase of living cycles, where animals feed soil microbes, soil microbes feed plants and plants feed animals. Local food supports local economies. Food grown in the local community supports local jobs and encourages variety in our diets. It also requires less transportation, so it's fresher and has a smaller environmental footprint.
